How The Data Works
Government and open datasets are the base layer. Official source pages, licences and URLs stay visible where available. Google Maps and Places are used as enrichment and display signals only, not as the canonical source of Wildgrounds facts.
Review And Trust
Community reviews, photos and corrections are a separate layer. Submitted updates are reviewed before they become confirmed facility facts, and exploratory activity or wildlife signals are kept lower confidence than official source text.

Signed-in users can save places, collect shortlists, prepare shared checklists, coordinate who brings what and share local observations. Wildgrounds is designed to help people prepare better before checking official park guidance and travelling.

Wildgrounds stores account details, saved places, trip plans, community posts and feedback only to operate the product. Public pages avoid exposing private trip data, and signed-in workflows are separated from the public index.
Location accuracy
Place coordinates support maps, distance estimates and structured data, but they are planning aids rather than legal boundaries or navigation instructions. Users should confirm access points with official sources.
Google and third-party data
Google Maps and Places are enrichment/display layers. Wildgrounds does not store copied Google review text or Google photos in its database. Official and open datasets remain the canonical base wherever available.
Community safety
Reviews, corrections, comments and field observations can be moderated, rate-limited or hidden when they are unsafe, irrelevant, spammy or not grounded in observable facts. Wildlife and activity signals are kept conservative.
Feedback
