Privacy

Wildgrounds uses account, community and uploaded media data to run saved destinations, profile pages, posts, follows, reviews, corrections and moderated public outdoor information.

Account and profile

When you sign in, we store your user id, email-derived display name, optional avatar, username, gender, home state and bio. Profile fields are editable from your profile page.

Saved places and follows

Saved destinations, followed users and follower relationships are stored so you can return to your shortlist and community graph across devices.

Reviews, corrections, posts and feedback

Reviews, comments, place corrections, community posts and site feedback can be screened by automated safety checks and reviewed by admins. Approved public content may remain visible until you delete it or an admin removes it.

Uploaded photos

Uploaded avatars and community photos may be compressed, resized, cropped for display frames and stripped of embedded metadata such as EXIF location where supported. Approved public photos may be shown with the related post, review, place, park or guide page and may be used as preview or SEO imagery on Wildgrounds pages.

Third-party services

Wildgrounds uses service providers for hosting, storage, authentication, maps, address lookup, analytics and content safety. Google Maps and Places content is an enrichment/display layer only; Wildgrounds does not store copied Google review text or Google photos in its database.

Contact and deletion

Use the feedback form in your profile or email service@wildgrounds.au for account questions, media removal or data concerns. Deleted user content is hidden from normal public views; account deletion can be handled by support while the self-serve flow is being built.
