Picnic tables and a wood fired BBQ is available for day visitors to use at Stringybark Creek Historic Reserve. Combine your picnic with a walk along the Stringybark Creek Historic Loop to visit the site of the Kelly gang's shooting of three police officers in 1878. There is a linking walking track from the campground to access the historic loop walk. From Benalla head towards Tatong along the Benalla-Tatong Road. Once you reach Tatong take the Tatong Tolmie Road for 26km until you reach Stringybark Creek Road located on your right. Turn right a travel for 1km until you reach your destination.
