There is a large cleared area suitable for playing ball games or flying kites. Two double toilets service the campground. A walking track provides access to the site on the other side of the creek where three Police Officers were shot and killed by the Kelly Gang. The camping area is in an open grassy space, surrounded by native trees. You can choose from campsites nestled in the tall trees or others in the open which are great for groups and which get plenty of sun. There are picnic and wood fired BBQ facilities for day visitors here. Combine a picnic with a walk along the Stringybark Creek Historic Loop to visit the site of the Kelly gang's shooting of three police officers in 1878. There is a linking walking track from this site to the historic loop walk.
