Gungarlin River campground

Facilities: Toilets, unpowered sites, unmarked sites, barbecue facilities, picnic tables | What to bring: Drinking water, cooking water, firewood | Price: There are no camping fees at this campground but a $6 booking fee applies. | Visitor facilities: Water is available from Gungarlin River but should be treated before drinking. There are no rubbish bins at the campground, so you’ll need to take all rubbish with you when you leave. BYO firewood. Gas and fuel stoves are recommended in summer during fire season. Wood barbecues are not permitted on days of total fire ban. Cycling Permitted on management trails in the campground area that are outside the protected Jagungal Wilderness. Fishing You can fish in rivers and streams between the October and June long weekends. A current NSW recreational fishing licence is required to fish in all waters. Fishing in dams and lakes is permitted year-round, but some waterways may close temporarily or have restrictions. Refer to the NSW Recreational Freshwater Fishing Guide for information. Generators Horses Horse riding is permitted on management trails in this area that are outside the protected Jagungal Wilderness. Camping with horses is not permitted at this campground. | Prohibited: Drones Flying a drone for recreational purposes is prohibited in this area. Drones may affect public enjoyment, safety and privacy, interfere with park operations, or pose a threat to wildlife. See the Drones in Parks policy . This area may be a declared Drone Exclusion Zone, or may be subject to Civil Aviation Safety Authority (CASA) rules for flying near airports, aerodromes and helicopter landing sites. See CASA's Drone Flyer Rules . Commercial filming and photography Commercial filming or photography is prohibited without prior consent. You must apply for permission and contact the local office . Gathering firewood Pets Pets and domestic animals (other than certified assistance animals) are not permitted. The alpine resorts of Thredbo, Perisher, Charlotte Pass, Selwyn, Ski Rider and Kosciuszko Tourist Park are exempt, though some commercial and outdoor places within these resorts may have no smoking areas.
